Ministry of Education & Human Resource
Development has announced plans to develop digitalized information
network for national education at the December 2002.
Therefore, universities are introducing UIP(University
Information Portal) on the Internet that is also capable
of registering application forms via mobile Internet. If
'KSignPKI' is deployed in UIP, various school admission,
administration and certification will be available to use
on the Internet through digital certificate-based user authentication.
In general case, 'KSignPRO' will be deployed to issue digital
certificates to students and teaching staffs on Windows
2002 Server, and 'KSignCASE Toolkit' will be deployed to
verification and encryption.
Following is the current PKI-based groupware configuration
for educational institutions.
If deploying 'KSignAccess', single login will allow access
to UIP and various services will be available to use (e.g.
web mail, administration service) at this configuration.
It is required to deploy Single Sign On solution that uses
just a single ID/Password or a single certificate to control
servers in separate location and facilitate user convenience.
As one of the eleven projects of eGovernment, Ministry
of Education & Human Resources Development is developing
NEIS(National Education Information System).
NESI(National Education Information System) is the system
to connecting and interoperating 10,000 elementary and middle
schools, 16 major cities' education offices and Ministry
of Education's offices. The purpose of NESI is to logically
integrating and connecting current information resource
and constructing a single unified information system.
KSIGN provides the most suitable security solutions for educational
institution with applying KSignPKI, KSignWPKI, KSignCASE,
WirelessE2E, KSignAccess and KSignSWAT.
