Overview Configuration Feature Operation System

'KSignTSA (Time Stamp Authority)' will record the present time data on specific information to approve such existence of the corresponding information at selected time.'KSignTSA' issues tokens to approve the point of time, provides signature and security related libraries, handles requests to approve the point of time and manages data for issued timestamp tokens.

As the e-business become popular and widely used, the need for proving the exact time when a transaction has made become essential importance. for example, the time and data of a transaction has made, who has made the transaction, what was the content of the transaction. Although digital signature is providing user authentication and integrity for e-business transactions, it just simply does not have function to prove the exact time and date a transaction made.
Proving the time and date a transaction took place is the essential matters for online stock trade, online tax payment, online bidding, etc where the point of time for transaction means critical. Time stamping (process of proving the time and date of transaction made) on the data with digital signature will prevent the claims of the false time and date. Currently, International Organization for Standardization has established RFC3131 for timestamp.
KSignTSA has developed under deploying the international standard to ensure interoperability and reliability.

(1) Client
Security and signature library: provide modules on certificate verification, digital signature verification, hash, encoding, decoding, encrypt, decrypt and key management.
Service request module: Generate timestamp request message by inserting user's request using hash module
Service response verification module: Verify validity of response message using certificate verification and digital signature verification module
Service file saving and management module: Provide saving and manage issued timestamp token and data into file
Communication module: provide message transaction, CRL receiving

(2) Server
Security and signature library : Identical to client security and signature library
Service request module: Generate timestamp response message by allocating timestamp data and processing digital signature on requests
Audit record module: Recording logs on errors and timestamp request process
Service file storage module : Save issuance timestamp token and data into database
Service sever management module : Monitoring on service server operation status

(3) Component
KSignTSA Server : Issue token on timestamp request
KSignTSA Client : Verify timestamp token and time stamp request
KSignTSA Manager Tool : Provide monitoring on timestamp server
KSignTSA Viewer : Provide view on content of timestamp token
KSignPKI Toolkit : Provide security applications required on system configuration
